One of the many natural hot springs located in the south of Iceland. This particular spring is little more than an hour’s drive from Reykjavik and can be found on the outskirts of the village of Fludir, off Rt 344. It makes a great stop if you’re hiking in the area, but it’s also possible to drive there if you’re pushed for time, and only a five-minute walk from the parking area. The pool is set in a lovely green gully, where the natural hot spring water collects gently into an old stone-walled pool.

There is a small pool for about two people right next to the hut, which serves as a changing room, and then there is another one, significantly warmer pool few meters behind the hut, so everyone is abel to find their favourite temperature. The people who maintain this place kindly ask you for donation of 1000kr per person into the metal box. Of course it is up to you if you decide to pay or not, but paying at least a little is better than nothing.
